Dr. Kim Clawson M.D.
My passion has always been in the area of health and wellness.I have been a board certified Family Practice Physician since 1986 with my medical degree and undergraduate degree in nutrition and food science from the University of Kentucky.
After working at the University of Kentucky Health Service Clinic for 16 years with special interest in adolescent medicine, gynecology and sports medicine, I took 5 years off to be with my family and spend more time studying and taking specific courses in holistic, environmental, botanical and anti-aging medicine, as well as Reiki I and II. Through my various courses I met Dr. Roach, who is one of the true pioneers and a mentor in this ever expanding field of integrative medicine. Whether it is called "integrative", or "holistic", or "functional", or "complimentary and alternative" medicine, it all comes down to creating a partnership and council to patients that educates and allows them to find all the factors that might influence their health and potential for a given disease process, and in turn identify ways they can help themselves to wellness using conventional as well as alternative, and natural approaches to facilitate their bodies innate ability to heal. This encompasses a mind, body and spirit approach with some diet and lifestyle changes for many. I know the importance of faith and a positive attitude in healing.
I have currently been working with Dr. Roach 2 days per week since May of 2005, and have enjoyed seeing and being a part of this thriving practice.
